Have You Tried Genuine Health Fermented Greek Yogurt Proteins+? Here’s Why You Should!

I have become a big advocate that the essential healthy balance to the daily routine has to include protein in the morning with my first meal. I am one that can’t stomach a full meal as soon as I wake up, so I have become accustomed to feeding my first meal with Genuine Healths Green+.  As a relatively big guy, my diet consists of 180-200 grams of protein per day, which is quite a lot. The other situation was finding the right type protein that doesn’t leave me gassy and gut rot first thing in the morning – stay with me here…

Genuine Health recently launched Fermented Greek Yogurt Proteins+. I was stoked to hear what’s next for this company that I 100% back.

This protein powder provides 25 grams of fully fermented protein from grass-fed California cows (raised, pastured, and farmed in sustainable dairies that produce milk free from hormones, antibiotics, and GMOs) per serving. Fermented Greek yogurt provides superior quality protein with all the nutritional value of dairy, without the digestive disturbances, and promotes gastrointestinal health for friendly gut bacteria. In addition, Fermented Greek Yogurt Proteins+ boosts immune function, aids in weight management, supports muscle recovery after exercise, as well as supports absorption of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids in the body. It tastes great mixed with water, blended in a smoothie with almond milk and fruit, or added to baking for a protein punch.  – Love it!

For those who want to mix it up in the morning, here are some awesome recipes (which I’ve tried and are delicious!). These recipes have the essential proteins and will help you with post-workout recovery without having to feel like you are eating just to fuel the body.

Make these treats and get into the gym today – Enjoy!

Created by Chef Chris Kalisperas of Mamakas Taverna

  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams of Genuine Health’s fermented Greek yogurt proteins+ vanilla
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 5 egg white
  • 5 cups of buttermilk
  • 1 pinch of baking soda

  • 3 Brûléed or fresh bananas
  • 1 cup pecans
  • Brown sugar
  • Canadian Maple Syrup
  • Icing Sugar

Mix all the ingredients together (except for egg whites) and mix for 4 minutes. Slowly whisk the egg white into mixture and slowly fold, then pass through a sieve and let it rise for about 15 min if using flour.

Line pan with olive oil or butter and cook on medium until golden.

Brûléed Banana:

Cut bananas in half, width and length wise so there are four pieces. Place banana slices lightly coated in brown sugar on a baking sheet. Place in the oven and broil on low just till the sugar melts and becomes golden.

Top with lightly dusted icing sugar, slice of brûléed banana, pecans, and drizzle with Canadian maple syrup.
