Sources tell me that Leonardo DiCaprio, 37, and Carey Mulligan, 26 deliver with their chemistry.

“Oh, you can see it and feel it,” one source reports.

Another says that it’s pure romance. In other words, you’ll find no Fifty Shades of Gatsby here.

“I don’t think you see more than passionate kisses,” the source said. “It’s classy and beautifully shot.”

Warner Bros. Pictures presented a sneak peek at the movie—including some intimate moments between DiCaprio and Mulligan—during CinemaCon last month in Las Vegas.

Sharon Waxman of The Wrapwrote afterward, “[I]t’s safe to predict that teenage girls will be lining up to see it.

The $125 million film is a reunion for DiCaprio and Luhrmann, who first worked together on 1996′s Romeo + Juliet.

Rounding out the Gatsby cast are Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton.

A spokeswoman for the group had no official statement about the postponements and declined further comment. The band began the current tour in mid-February.

Rolling Stone said a source with knowledge of the tour told the magazine, “the band is arguing like mad. They are fighting.” But that could not be confirmed and throughout its current tour there have been no public reports of the band mates arguing.

But if they are, it would not be the first time.

Van Halen was among the biggest rock acts of the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits like “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love,” “Jump,” “Panama” and “Hot for Teacher.”

When they were at the height of their fame, however, lead singer David Lee Roth had a falling out with the rest of the band members, and Sammy Hagar was brought in to join bothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony.

Over the years, the band’s makeup changed and this past January, they announced a new tour and album with Roth singing, marking Van Halen’s first full album with Roth since their “1984″ CD was released on December 31, 1983.

Anthony, the original bassist, has been replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s son, for the current tour.

Roth has rejoined the band before, once for a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1996 and a second time to tour in 2007-2008. Interestingly, the posting on Van Halen News Desk – vnhd.com – noted the tour dates were “postponed, not canceled,” and that the 2007-2008 tour also had postponed dates that were ultimately rescheduled.

The abrupt postponements also raise questions about guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s health. In 2000, he began treatment for cancer in his tongue, but after later surgery, he was declared cancer-free in May 2002.

The elimination of Ledet – through audience voting and not by the judges – sets up a final showdown between Sanchez and Phillips to determine who will be named the next “American Idol,” a distinction that has belonged to hitmakers such as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, among others.

Sanchez has impressed the judges from the beginning of the current season with her technical mastery of music, despite being the youngest contestant at age 16. Singer-songwriter Phillips has won plaudits for bringing his own distinctive style of guitar playing music to other artists’ songs.

The finale will consist of a two-hour performance episode on Tuesday, May 22, followed by a results episode on Wednesday, May 23. The winner will receive a recording contract.

Ledet was gracious in defeat. He closed the singing contest Thursday with his rendition of “It’s a Man’s World,” replicating one of his most popular performances of the season.

Audience voting was based on Wednesday episode that included three performance rounds of contestants singing songs chosen by the judges, then picking their own songs and finally belting out a tune chosen by mentor Jimmy Iovine for the third round.

Judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson chose Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” for Ledet’s first performance.

In his feedback, Tyler predicted Ledet would win the show, but his later responses to Ledet’s other songs was not as enthusiastic.

Though Lopez praised him for communicating the meaning of the lyrics in John Lennon’s “Imagine,” Iovine thought he went a bit too far, describing his performance as “slightly overblown and over-emotional.”

Iovine then took some responsibility for what he thought was Ledet’s less-than-stellar performance of Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama,” saying that he should have chosen a song with more melody.

For her Wednesday routine, Sanchez sang Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing,” and Tyler, the rock band’s lead singer, told her “you just took a great song and made it greater.” And Iovine said it was worthy of singing at the Grammys.

Phillips’s songs included “We’ve Got Tonight,” with Iovine and Jackson agreed it was his best performance to date.

Thursday’s results show included performances from two artists with new albums out this week – Lisa Marie Presley and “Idol” season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. Presley sang “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” off her album “Storm and Grace,” and Lambert did “Never Close Our Eyes” from sophomore album, “Trespassing.”

Now in its eleventh season, “Idol” continues to be the most-watched reality show in the United States. Audiences vote for their favorite performers by phone and text message each week as contestants are challenged by a variety of musical styles.

Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest, two of the busiest people in the entertainment industry, are also the most influential.

Lopez, 42, takes the No. 1 spot on this year’s Forbes Celebrity List of the post powerful people, and E!’s own Seacrest takes the top honor on the Hollywood Reporter‘s list of most powerful individuals in reality TV.

Lopez climbed to No .1 on Forbes‘ list after ranking 50th last year. She ousted Oprah Winfrey (now in second place) for the coveted top spot, also besting Justin Bieber (3), Rihanna  (4) and Lady Gaga (5).

Other celebs topping Forbes‘ list include Britney Spears (6), Kim Kardashian (7), Katy Perry (8) and Tom Cruise (9). Taylor Swift ranked a respectable 11th place, while Angelina Jolie came in at 13 and Beyoncé at 16. Seacrest didn’t come in the lead on this list, but he did earn the 29th spot.

Jay Z has invited Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Jay-Z is planning a star-studded party to celebrate his manager’s 40th birthday in London.

The rapper – who is married to Beyonce Knowles – is in the capital city to perform a concert with friend Kanye West.

However he will acknowledge his colleague’s milestone age with a bash after the show which will have their star friends in attendance.

Apparently the 150 celebrities invited include Kanye’s girtlfriend Kim Kardashian, who is in the capital city promoting her fragrance.

The list also has her brother Rob Kardashian and his singer girlfriend Rita Ora down, plus Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, and of course the mother of Jay-Z daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce.

A source told The Sun: “It’s at a top city venue after Jay and Kanye’s O2 show.”

The ’99 Problems’ lyricist – whose real name is Shawn Carter – is even going to extravagant lengths such as flying his favourite cook out to the UK, to cater for the party.

The insider added: “There will be a dinner first cooked by a chef flown in from New York and then a huge party. Security is going to be tight.”

The musician – who will star as a mentor in ABC’s new reality singing competition Duets – says that he thinks that the Fox show will be “interesting” with the former Disney stars on the panel.

Legend told E! News: “You know, it’s interesting. It should be very interesting. I don’t have much to say. It’s interesting when people you know… are judging singing competitions when they aren’t really singers. It’s interesting.”

However, Legend’s Duets co-star Robin Thicke has supported both Spears and Lovato.

Thicke said: “Oh come on, everything Britney does, she excels at. Demi is a lovely young lady, and I’m sure they’ll do nothing but make the show a lot more fun to watch.”

Kelly Clarkson – who will also be working with the pair on the upcoming talent show – agreed that the two bring positivity to the program.

She added: “I’m excited for both of them. I’m a big fan of both of them. Both of those girls are super sweet.

The original American Idol winner continued: “Obviously they are both performers so… I think that show really needs it. I don’t think everybody latched onto that show like they thought they would.”

Meanwhile the first American X Factor winner Melanie Amaro revealed that she thought the show’s boss made the right decision at a showcase for former X Factor UK contestant Cher Lloyd.

Amaro said: “I’m really happy Simon chose two wonderful people. I think Demi’s going to bring that youthful thing, and then because Britney’s so experienced in the music business, I think she’ll do very well. I’m very happy and I’m looking forward to both of them!”

Tassler told reporters at the US TV upfronts that the network had decided to axe either Miami or sister show CSI: NY, in order to move popular drama The Mentalist into a new slot.

“It was about keeping the flow, and Miami was the odd man out,” she explained.

CSI: Miami – starring David Caruso – ran for ten seasons, with the final episode ‘Habeas Corpse’ airing on April 8.

The fifth season of The Mentalist will now air in the show’s old Sunday 10pm slot.

CSI: NY – with Gary Sinise – will return for a ninth season, airing on Fridays at 8pm.

Fights with your friends. Now, this situation can be tricky. Nobody is perfect, including your woman. She could very well be in the wrong, but you can’t allow your friend to disrespect her.
